We’re having a week of school holidays over here in Singapore. Which means no more waking up at 6am for a week (yay!) but no 2-hr free time in the morning to blog.
So I’ve decided to take a break from the usual blog schedule this week so that I can spend more time with my kids. I’ve been feeling it lately, that the kids are growing up too fast and before I know it, their school holidays will be swamped with school activities and I won’t even get to see them if I wanted to.
What I will try to do this week is to work on some of the little design changes that I have been wanting to do for a long time but never got round to doing. So you might see some changes here are there but hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be something major 🙂 Oh, and get a little book shopping done 🙂
Will be back with regular blog posts next Monday. See you then!

Hi,
I have been looking for a cheongsam like pattern for a top, have you ever come across one amongst your library of Japanese pattern books?
Hi Gaye, Yes! I have come across a couple of titles. I was supposed to research and make a tea ceremony dress for my cousin’s wedding, but the books I found were out of print. Chinese Style & Elegant China
Unfortunately they are out of print. There is also a free pattern on this site but it requires alot of printing and cutting and pasting. I’m not sure if the pattern is good.
Oh these look quite nice.. I shall have to search for them!
