Japanese Fabrics – November books

September 19, 2012

More fabrics from my collection! November books designed by Push-pin for Kokka fabrics. There are many brands under Push-pin, and you can visit their website to see them all. But my favourite of them all has got to be November books. I get attracted to their cute characters and color combinations, it’s always hard to walk away with only one color from each design!

Love the prints on the selvedges!

Remember the Mermaid print for the Granny bag sew-along?

This was a lesson bag for the kids posted on my other blog. More pictures over there. The fabric was a lovely thumbelina border print. Didn’t use a Japanese sewing pattern for this one because I had to customize it for their water bottles and size of their files+books.

Made this out of the mermaid print as well. More pics over there.

There are a lot of designs and variations for their fabrics. If you do a google image search you can find lots!
These are just some of the ones that I like

A whole bunch of fairy tales! See which ones you can recognize.

      Hi Annie,

A good place to go is Chinatown, level 2 of People’s park food centre. There is a shop called Malin textiles that sells Kokka fabrics. There are also other sources, see my post on shopping for Japanese fabrics.
