Translation Request – Dress K from Atelier to nani IRO’s Sewing Closet

May 15, 2018

Today’s translation request is from Brandi for Dress K from the book Atelier to nani IRO’s Sewing Closet.

I actually made the same in a blouse version, which is just a shorter version. So I’m pretty familiar with it.

This was the part of the pattern instructions that she needed help with. Basically, you just have to sew the tucks according to the marking, then iron the tucks so that they are all in the direction of the side of the garment. The red circle shows what it should look like from the front.

I hope this helps those of you who are working on this top/dress. Let me know below if you have any questions!

Just come across your site, awesome just what I need. I have ordered the Nani iro atelier book from Japan so it may take a while to get to me in uk. Could you possibly let me know the amount of material I would need for the tuck silhouette dress item K in the largest size please. I want to make it in the wildflower material so guessi need to do 4 times my length?
    Thankyou so much

    Hi, thank you for translation.
Do the patterns come with seam allowance? What is the seam allowance?

Thanks for asking that! I will add that information in. Seam allowances are NOT included in the patterns, so you have to refer to the instructions for adding them on.

    Hi,

I’ve asked a few times for translation help with the Small Collar blouse (C_2) in Simple Chic.
